Career and Achievements
Sheikh Mohammed started his career in the UAE Armed Forces in 1968 and quickly rose through the ranks. In 1971, he played a key role in the formation of the UAE as a federation of seven emirates, and he was appointed the Minister of Defense of the UAE in the same year. Sheikh Mohammed continued to serve in various capacities in the UAE Armed Forces and was promoted to the rank of General in 1983.
